There are may possible causes of all-over body scratching. It could be parasites (mainly fleas or mange). Another possibility is allergies. I would recommend treating your dog immediately with an anti-flea medication and, depending on the condition of his skin, start antibiotics, or clean his skin with special shampoo. However, I would recommend above all consulting a veterinarian. In addition, it might be a good idea to change his food, in this case I would recommend hypoallergenic food on the basis of lamb and salmon (the superpremium Brit Care line or Brit Lamb & Rice).
